Daniel is a Director and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. A former partner of well known legal firms, he has over approximately 20 years of experience in private client legal services.
He advises clients on a wide range of private client legal matters. He advises owners and directors of local SMEs and landed estates within Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. He advises upon the most complex trust and estate matters including rectification, APR/BPR claims and foreign assets. He has extensive experience of the care system and challenges to DWP, local authority and NHS funding decisions. He has acted in numerous s.18 MCA 2005 applications including Statutory Will applications, advanced gifting authority and ratification of other tax planning schemes through the Court of Protection.
In providing this advice and as a partner of well-known legal firms, he regularly takes fiduciary roles for some of the wealthiest and most vulnerable clients in the region. As such he acts as a professional trustee, executor, attorney and deputy in both high value and complex cases. His role as panel deputy requires attention to some highly complex and contentious matters including financial abuse, financial investigation and recovery, care fee disputes, trust arrangements and foreign properties and structures.
