CILEx Paralegal

Megan joined the team in July 2017 and is working towards qualifying as a CILEx Lawyer.

Megan is an experienced Court of Protection and Private Client paralegal who is involved in making applications to the Court of Protection and Probate Registry. Her caseload consists of identifying financial abuse of vulnerable individuals, progressing Continuing Healthcare appeals, liaising with local authorities in relation to statutory care fee funding and drafting documents such as Wills and Lasting Power of Attorneys.

Megan regularly assists deputies and clients with the management of personal injury and clinical negligence awards to ensure that those funds are applied following the best interests principles set out in the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
